Great East & West Halls

Though the luxury seating options on the stadium’s west side have drawn most of the public attention, the Renaissance Project will result in vastly improved gameday experiences for every Illinois fan. The extensive renovations scheduled within the Great East and West Halls are primary examples. Both Great Halls will feature new concessions and restroom facilities. The antiquated ramp system will be replaced with stairs and escalators. The concourses will be widened, and the spaces brightened with memorabilia documenting the history of Illinois football and 
Memorial Stadium. In the Great East Hall, a new mezzanine level will allow fans in the upper main stands a gathering area that will provide great views of the East Hall’s main floor. Overall, the Great Halls will be restored to their original grandeur and will serve as monuments to the proud tradition of Illinois football and the loving memory of those men and women who died fighting for our country’s freedom.
