Future Expansions/South Stadium
Though no longer part of the original renovation plans, future plans call for a revamped horseshoe with seating for approximately 14,000 Illini fans. An enclosed south hall, featuring restroom and concession facilities, has the potential to be one of the stadium’s signature façades. Options being considered for the south hall include an Illinois Hall of Fame, a team merchandise store, and a café/restaurant. With substantial “new” space, the possibilities for the south end zone are nearly limitless!
